In recognition of Black History Month, Francinia Boston will present her latest novel “The Effects of Desire: A Fool in Love” at the Fort Pierce Branch Library on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. - noon
Born in Florida, Boston is an African American author, who writes “about the life and struggles of living in the ghetto from abusive relationships to drugs being sold to survive.” She also owns an independent record label, Goonz Entertainment.
“The Effects of Desire: A Fool in Love” is the story of Precious Diamond Walker - a college freshman, who has her mom as her best friend. She has everything going for herself until she meets Darrow Michael Wallace, a senior football player who’s a first-round NFL draft pick. Life’s laid out plans and dreams all change with this new course in Walker’s life.
Francinia Boston will be seated at the round table next to the check-out, front desk counter.
