If you are using wordpress as your backend content management system, you will want to follow these instructions for adding a rss feed to your site. Assuming you’ve already been through the How to find a RSS feed on St LucieRSS tutorial and you have the feed url, you will then want to go to /wp-admin (this is the administrative area - same place you go to write a post).
Once at your dashboard, you will want to scroll down until you see the Theme or Appearance section on the left sidebar under dashboard, depending on what version of WP you are using. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will use “Appearance.”
Under the Appearance tab, you will see “Widgets”. These are all the things needed to customize the sidebars on your site.
Scroll down until you see RSS and click the link that says “Add”. You will note a RSS tab has been added to your sidebar. Click edit and add the feed url where it says Enter the RSS feed URL here and give the feed a title. You now have to decide how you want to display the feeds - how many, who much content and whether or not to show the author and date of each article you’ve pulled in through the feeds. This is something you will have determine based on the look and feel of the site you have.
One you have made these decision (remember, you can always go back and change the look and feel of the display), click done and save changes.
View the site. If there is anything you want to change, go back: wp-admin>Appearances>Widgets>Edit RSS (don’t forget to save changes when you are done).
